Does Oasis Broadband have data caps?

No. Oasis Broadband offers truly unlimited data plans — no data caps, no throttling after a certain amount of use, and no surprise overage charges. Stream, work from home, video call, and game as much as you want. That's what unlimited should mean.

Does Oasis Broadband offer fiber internet?

+
Yes. In addition to our fixed wireless service, Oasis Broadband offers fiber build-out programs for communities that want fiber infrastructure. Why Oasis Broadband

Why is fixed wireless more resistant to storms and fire?

+
Fixed wireless internet doesn't depend on thousands of telephone poles that get knocked over by storms, cars, and fires. We only need air. Unlike buried fiber, it also doesn't require expensive trenching through rocky Sierra Nevada terrain. And unlike traditional cable, it isn't vulnerable to wildfires, fallen trees, and debris flows that routinely cut service in our region.

Oasis Broadband uses advanced Tarana wireless technology to deliver fiber-class speeds and reliability — without the fragility of pole-hung or underground cable in fire-prone areas. It's a practical, proven solution for communities that need connectivity they can count on year-round.

Is Oasis Broadband a local company?

+
Yes. Oasis Broadband is a locally owned and operated internet service provider that has been serving Nevada County, Placer County, and El Dorado County, California for over 20 years. When you call us, you're talking to people who live and work in the same communities as you — not a national call center that has no idea where Grass Valley or Tahoe Vista actually are.

What makes Oasis different from Comcast, AT&T, or other large providers?

+
A few things stand out. First, we're locally owned — decisions get made here, not in a distant headquarters. Second, we specialize in rural and mountain communities that national carriers chronically underserve. Third, our customer service is genuinely responsive: we know our customers, we know our network, and we go above and beyond. You'll never wait on hold for an hour to reach someone who doesn't know the difference between Colfax and Tahoe City.

And if you're not happy with your current options — whether that's coverage, speeds, or something else — reach out to us directly. We actively build new service where demand is highest.

How long has Oasis Broadband been in business?

+
Oasis Broadband has been providing internet service to rural and small-town communities in Northern California for over 20 years. That longevity means we understand the specific challenges of delivering reliable connectivity in the Sierra Nevada foothills — and we've built our network specifically to meet them.
